What do bead embroidery kits contain?

If you have always wanted to try embroidering with beads but found it a challenge to locate all the correct parts and methods to get yourself started, then Beadsology has you covered. We work to find only the highest quality pieces to include in our kits, this will give you the peace of mind knowing that you have everything you need to take that first step.

So what is included in our kits?

All of our kits contain the same basic pieces, however, depending on your choice the number of beads included will vary. The number of beads in our kits can be anywhere between 60,000 and 200,00 beads, in a variety of colours and finishes.

  1. The Symboled guide

Every kit has its own unique and carefully planned guide. Following the provided guide will allow you to create a work of art. The guide is broken down using an assortment of different symbols, each one representing a unique colour that is provided.

2.  Needle and threader

We provide you with a size 10 beading needle, we chose this needle because it is stronger than a normal sewing needle so helps when pushing through the canvas. Even though they are considered to be stronger they can bend over time so it is advised to have some spares. It also fits through the centre of the beads so there will be no problems when trying to attach each bead to the thread and needle.

3.  Thread

Thread is an important part of bead embroidery, it has to be fine and discrete and very strong at the same time. The strength is key as it pulls the beads tight up to the canvas, and it must also withstand the weight of the beads. We make sure that every kit has enough to get the job done.

4.  Canvas

The choice of canvas matters to us as it will help get the best final result with your embroidery. Strength and durability are two of the things we consider when picking a canvas to include in the kit, and we come to Aida No. 14 cross stitch fabric. Not only does it meet our requirements it also assists with the embroidery process as the holes are clear and perfectly spaced to give the best result.

5.  And of course… the Beads

We couldn’t write a content list without including the most important part. Preciosa No. 10 beads are the go-to for us and lots of other beading enthusiasts, due to their great quality and finish. The colours and effects that these beads provide bring life to the images we pick to make into embroidery kits, and we hope that you see their beauty as well.

There are more than enough beads provided to complete the piece, with some more leftover just in case.
