What is Bead Embroidery?

What is Bead Embroidery?

Bead embroidery is a type of beadwork that requires the use of a needle, thread and, of course, beads. In our case, we provide glass seed beads for all of our kits which have some incredible colours and finishes giving amazing results.

Simply, all you are doing is sewing beads onto a piece of fabric.

The kits we offer contain everything you would need to create some visually stunning pieces of art utilising beads. This form of embroidery is very similar to normal embroidery using a needle and coloured thread, the only difference is the use of the bead.

The technique is the same as used in most needlework crafts and we advise using the half-cross stitch. This is a very common stitch type in the embroidery community.

For our pieces, with each stitch, you are only attaching one bead at a time. We found that this gets the best possible result as the beads can be set correctly and close together.

We want our kits to be as simple and as user-friendly as possible and, at the same, giving anyone the best opportunity to get professional results.
